Sponsored Review: EasyEntra Lowers the Bar for Microsoft 365 Administration
Discover how EasyEntra streamlines Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration with user management, mailbox control, and automation for IT teams & MSPs.
For those new to the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and even for veterans, the learning curve can be steep. Juggling multiple admin portals and the complexities of PowerShell can feel overwhelming.
EasyEntra promises to flatten that curve, offering a simplified and unified approach to daily identity and mailbox related administration tasks. This review provides an in-depth look at our experience with the software, evaluating its features, user experience, and overall value.
Features and Functionality
EasyEntra is a native Windows desktop application, which provides a snappy and responsive user experience. The initial setup is straightforward, and the app seamlessly connects to multiple tenants, including GCC and GCC High environments. This out-of-the-box multi-tenant support is a significant advantage for Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
The core of EasyEntra’s functionality lies in its intuitive user management. The primary view quickly populates a list of all users and their licenses. While the search capability is limited to display name, email, and user principal, it is fast and sufficient for most helpdesk scenarios.
The real power is revealed when managing an individual user. The Account tab places common tasks like password resets, session revocation, and authentication method management just one click away. This streamlined approach simplifies complex identity operations and empowers junior staff.
The Account tab brought in some of the most common identity tasks and placed them just one click away. We were able to reset the user’s password, revoke sign in sessions if a compromise happens and also manage all authentication methods.
As any IT org would know by now, the #1 source of all helpdesk issues is related to password and authentication. Easy Entra creates a really simplified view for the helpdesk and support teams and gives them the right level of access to quickly achieve the task without overwhelming them with complex controls.
The authentication methods were also very functional and allowed you to add new authentication methods as well as issue Temporary Access Passes.
In addition to being able to view and change group membership of the user the ability to manage all aspects of a user’s mailbox was comprehensive. With a really intuitive user experience which simplified complex operations like litigation hold, delegation and delivery options, all just a click away.
A standout feature is the Clone User functionality. EasyEntra intelligently replicates an existing user’s email format, group memberships (both on-premises and cloud), mailbox, and calendar settings, creating a complete replica with unique user properties. This automation is a significant time-saver for repetitive onboarding tasks.
The Decommission feature is also well-designed. It provides a clean, step-by-step workflow that automates critical security operations, including account disabling and session revocation.
It then handles license cleanup and mailbox off-loading, with an especially useful option to convert the mailbox to a shared mailbox, configure a delegate, and clean up inbox rules.

User Experience and Interface
EasyEntra’s user interface is simple and intuitive. For anyone familiar with the classic on-premises Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) tool, EasyEntra will feel instantly familiar. It simplifies complex operations like litigation hold and mailbox delegation, making them accessible to helpdesk staff who may not be proficient in the intricate M365 admin portals. The clean and organized layout ensures that users are not overwhelmed with complex controls.
Pricing and Value
One of the most impressive aspects of the EasyEntra offering is its generous free tier. The software is completely free for tenants with fewer than 25 users, with all features enabled. Additionally, its on-premises AD management module, which allows you to manage local mail attributes and trigger an Entra ID Connect sync, is free for an unlimited number of users. This makes it a valuable tool for organizations looking to decommission their last Exchange server while still managing a hybrid identity setup. The free tier alone provides immense value for small businesses and is an essential addition to any IT toolkit. What makes it even more compelling is that EasyEntra is constantly introducing new features, further increasing its long-term value.
Conclusion
EasyEntra is a powerful and confidence-boosting tool for any IT administrator, help desk staff, or MSP who has felt intimidated by the complexity of Microsoft 365. It successfully delivers on its promise of making M365 and Entra ID administration simple, efficient, and accessible. By providing a familiar interface and automating repetitive tasks, it lowers the barrier to entry for effective administration.
Given its generous free offering for small businesses and hybrid environments, we believe EasyEntra is an essential addition to your toolkit.
